Will Mansoor Delane play today? Status update for Chiefs DB in Week 9.

Chiefs Rule Out Mansoor Delane Against Jets in Week 9

The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out cornerback Mansoor Delane for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets because of a shoulder injury. Delane will miss his second consecutive game.

The Chiefs listed Delane as a limited practice participant before assigning him an official Out designation for the Week 9 matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.

Chiefs Face Multiple Defensive Absences

Delane is one of three defensive players ruled out. Defensive lineman Peter Woods did not participate in practice because of a neck injury, while defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott was limited by a knee injury.

Their simultaneous absences reduce Kansas City’s available defensive personnel, particularly along the interior line, where Woods and Norman-Lott would otherwise provide depth.

Jets Offense Faces Personnel Changes

New York will be without wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who is ruled out with a concussion sustained in Week 8, removing a key receiving option from the Jets’ passing attack.

Running back Breece Hall, meanwhile, is returning from a quadriceps injury after participating fully in Thursday’s and Friday’s practices. Rookie Braelon Allen has recorded 565 rushing yards and three touchdowns while filling in.

Kickoff Time and Broadcast Details

The Chiefs (5-2) host the Jets (2-6) on November 8, 2026, at 12 p.m. CT (1 p.m. ET).

CBS will televise the matchup regionally, while 96.5 The Fan provides local Chiefs Radio Network coverage. Kansas City’s final active and inactive roster announcements are scheduled for 90 minutes before kickoff.
