Patna:Two para-athletes from Bihar have been selected for the Indian Para Sports Team for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games beginning July 23. The athletes are Jhandu Kumar of Nalanda (para-powerlifting) and Soman Rana of Gaya (para-athletics).
Para Sports Association of Bihar secretary Sandeep Kumar said it is the first time the stateβs para-athletes will represent India at such a major international event, calling it a sign of improving infrastructure and a stronger environment for para-sports in Bihar.
