Alexander Brothers Face Life Sentences in Sex Trafficking Case
Three brothers convicted of sex trafficking faced sentencing in New York on 27 October 2026, with nearly a dozen women expected to address the court about their experiences, according to the Associated Press.
Federal prosecutors requested life sentences for twins Oren and Alon Alexander, 39, and their brother Tal, 40. Defence lawyers asked US District Judge Valerie E.
Caproni to impose the statutory minimum of 15 years for each defendant.
Women Expected to Address Court
The brothers were convicted in March 2026 after prosecutors described how they exploited wealth, celebrity connections and luxury properties to lure women into situations where they were drugged and sexually assaulted.
In sentencing filings, prosecutors alleged that at least 70 women had been raped or sexually assaulted by the brothers, whom they called “serial rapists”.
Prosecutors traced allegations of sexual assault to 2001 or 2002, when the siblings were still in high school. They described a pattern involving women invited on expensive trips before being incapacitated and abused.
Defence Maintains Innocence
Oren and Tal previously worked at Douglas Elliman, handling luxury property sales before establishing their own brokerage. Alon managed the family’s private security business.
Defence lawyers maintained their clients’ innocence while apologising for behaviour they acknowledged was “insensitive toward the feelings of certain women at certain times”.
The brothers were arrested in 2024 and have remained in custody without bail.
Judge Caproni has indicated that the siblings should serve their sentences in separate prisons because she considers them a bad influence on one another. Their lawyers intend to argue for keeping them together.
